Medicare Coverage for Sleep Therapy

Medicare Part B covers CPAP machines and supplies when a physician diagnoses obstructive sleep apnea through a qualifying sleep study (AHI ≥ 15, or AHI ≥ 5 with documented symptoms). After the initial 3-month trial period and demonstrated compliance, coverage continues.

Medicare typically covers 80% of the approved amount after your Part B deductible is met. Your secondary insurance or Medigap may cover the remaining 20%. We explain exactly what you'll owe before we begin.
